Set Your Intention and Rock Your Day

Consciously creating your intentions for the day can be a positive and powerful tool in self care. Don’t worry about perfection. Zen is about living your best life with ease and flow.

Set your intention and use it to guide your attitude and decisions throughout the day. You may want to meditate on this for a few minutes. You’ll definitely want to look for signs of this throughout your day. Think of it as a metaphysical game of “I Spy.”

Intentions can be as simple as “I intend to enjoy my day and feel great,” or "I will rock a very productive day.” It could be more specific. Perhaps your area of concentration will be to finally get on your way to your dream job or your ideal partner. In that case, focus on connections, see what comes your way and perhaps smile a lot. You never know which moment may start a wonderful chain of reaction. Something that seems completely unrelated may become a stepping stone to the life you’ve always wished for.

And, although you want to honor, not ignore the negative, a focus on gratitude and the positives in your life can go a long way in upping your happiness factor. Are you ready? Now it’s time for a little focus, a bit of work and some smooth sailing.
